Local Architects Win Two Regional Design Awards
Carney Architects, a Jackson architectural firm, has received two awards from the American Institute of Architects 1998 Western Mountain Region Design Awards program. Eric Logan, an Associate Architect at the firm, won one of two top Honor Awards for the design of Logan Pavilion, his own home, located on Moulton Loop, north of Jackson. The firm of Carney Architects won an Award of Citation for the Brandywine Fund Building, local headquarters of Friess Associates, on Snow King Avenue in the Town of Jackson. John and Nancy Carney were principals-in charge of the Brandywine project. The Awards were presented on October 10, 1998 at the annual AIA Western Mountain Region Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. John Carney and Eric Logan were present to receive their honors at an awards ceremony held during the conference. AIA awards are generally regarded as the highest form of recognition the architectural profession can bestow.
