Carney Architects Announces Name Change -- Carney Logan Burke Architects – And Promotion of New Talent
Jackson, Wyoming – Award-winning architecture firm, Carney Architects, is pleased to announce that the name has been changed to Carney Logan Burke Architects. The new name acknowledges the contribution of principals Eric Logan and Kevin Burke and signals the firm’s ongoing commitment to serve their clients with innovative and responsive projects that are inspired by and firmly rooted in the landscape of the west. “This transition has been in the works for several years, and the time just felt right, as we emerge from the downturn and look toward the future,” says John Carney, FAIA, Founding Principal of the firm. As part of the name change, Carney Logan Burke Architects is unveiling a new identity program that can be seen on their web site at www.clbarchitects.com and on all printed materials.
Since its founding 18 years ago, the firm has completed over 100 projects and was awarded AIA Western Mountain Region Firm of the Year in 2009. As principals Carney, Logan, and Burke remain committed to the same vision that drew them together and to Jackson Hole: to build a viable, community-based practice that leaves a legacy of enduring buildings in harmony with the natural beauty of their surroundings. Under the new name the firm will continue to provide leadership in their profession and the region.
The firm is committed to growing from within and adapting to the many changes that face the profession and the world, from the current recession to global climate change. As part of this transition, the firm has named Andy Ankeny and Jeff Lawrence as Associates. Andy and Jeff have contributed to the firm over the past decade and are eager to bring new ideas and energy to the leadership team. “We’ve been very fortunate to attract top talent and to create a team of architects that provides our clients with innovative ideas and solutions,” said Eric Logan, AIA, Design Principal. “Rather than depend on a single leader, Carney Logan Burke Architects is a collaborative studio made up of talented individuals, all of whom contribute greatly to our success as a practice.”
“We are extremely thankful for the kinds of projects our clients have entrusted to us and are optimistic about the future and the positive energy we are generating with this transition,” said Kevin Burke, AIA LEED AP, Managing Principal.
