King Street Residence
Jackson, Wyoming
Completion Date: In Design
This 2,500 sf, three bedroom, two bath house is designed for a corner lot in downtown Jackson that combines sophisticated sculptural and textural qualities that both connect it to the neighborhood and allow it to stand out. Conceived for a local businessman who appreciates having all of life’s necessities and amenities within walking distance, the upside-down floor plan places the main living spaces on the upper level where the loft like rooms capture natural light and views to Snow King Mountain. Access to a rooftop patio, off the living room, guarantees the critical connection to the outdoors.
Showcasing quality sustainable materials, the exterior is a combination of wood and metal panels that allows the contemporary design to blend into its surroundings—in this case, a welcoming, tree-lined, residential street. Inside, the eco-friendly materials palette includes bamboo floors, concrete kitchen countertops, and farmed walnut veneer millwork.
