Teton Village Master Plan
Teton Village, Wyoming
Completion Date: 1997
A new master plan for Teton Village, prepared by Design Workshop of Aspen, Colorado proposed to significantly increase the density of development at the base of Jackson Hole Ski Resort, and creates a true village instead of sprawling hodgepodge of buildings. The Village Plan was developed in concert with significant improvements on the mountain, including several new lifts and other skiing infrastructure. As part of the first phase of development, the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort proposed to build several new structures, including a skier services building, a new ticketing center, and a significant expansion of the tram tower building.
Carney Logan Burke Architects was brought in by Design Workshop to help define the architectural character of the new village buildings, and to help bridge the gap between the existing buildings and the new. Our initial work consisted of conceptual designs for the key buildings, outline design guidelines, and input on the major architectural issues. Following approval of the master plan, Carney Architects has designed and completed several projects including the Bridger Center, Bridger Restaurant, and Lower Tram Terminal Enclosure.
